We are very pleased to make known that the campaign for the defense of the life of Chairman Gonzalo, the greatest living Marxist-Leninist-Maoist on the face of the Earth, Head of the world proletarian revolution, Head of the Communist Party of Peru, the red fraction of the International Communist Movement, is deepening and widening as shown by three recent developments.
If we take a short look at Africa and sum up the recent struggles taken place there, we see tremendous popular uprisings against the misery imperialism burdens on the peoples. At the same time we have to consider that the shortcomings of the communist in Africa are as bad as in no other part of the world and this leads to a situation where the struggles for national liberation are being fought under reactionary banners generally. This is a situation unacceptable for the International Communist Movement.
July 23 this year marks the centenary of the I Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPCh). At this historical milestone, our great Communist Party of China that will go on and lead the Chinese New-democratic Revolution and Socialist Revolution, as well as the outstanding proletarian combatants headed by Chairman Mao, were born. Under the leadership of Chairman Mao, Chinese communists completed great tasks one by one, leaving precious fruits and experience for the International Communist Movement (ICM).
Only a few days ago, after a long tug-of-war between the representatives of the two factions of the big bourgeoisie to decide the nomination of the new reactionary president who will replace the current president of the old Peruvian state, a landlord-bureaucracy at the service of imperialism, mainly Yankee imperialism, the National Jury of Elections decided that the strike-selling "rondero" Pedro Castillo would be the one to take the post of reactionary president.
April 21 marked the 54th anniversary of the military coup of the Junta of the Obriste in Greece, promoted and supported by the CIA as part of the hegemonist and counter-revolutionary plan of US imperialism put in place by the Kennedy administration since the beginning of the 1960s, which staged the fascist military junta, as a consequence of the development of the class struggle in the country.
The elections are a means of domination of the landowners and big bourgeoisie; they are neither an instrument of transformation for the people nor a means to overthrow the power of the rulers. Thus, within this function of the elections in Peru, similar to those in other countries, and within their condition of being crucial for reaction, the general elections of 2021, as they should be, have been presented and developed as a defence of the existing outdated order and evolution of Peruvian society; and in this framework the parties, such as the 18 that participated in the first round and the two that have remained for the second round, maintain and defend the same fundamental objectives and goals and only have differences in form and means and how to use them.
