In our new section we will from now on publish materials for discussion – documents, statements, articles, that deal with the proposal of the CCIMU “For a Unified Maoist International Conference! – Proposal regarding the balance of the International Communist Movement and of its current General Political Line”. We do this because it is Marxist, according to the principle of unity – struggle – [higher] unity.

“We stand for active ideological struggle because it is the weapon for ensuring unity within the Party and the revolutionary organizations in the interest of our fight. Every Communist and revolutionary should take up this weapon.
But liberalism rejects ideological struggle and stands for unprincipled peace, thus giving rise to a decadent, philistine attitude and bringing about political degeneration in certain units and individuals in the Party and the revolutionary organizations.” [Mao Tse-tung: Combat Liberalism]

We are deeply convinced that this ideological struggle will be fruitful, as Marxism is all-powerful, because it is true, because it is scientific. It is the present differences from which our new unity will emerge. This is beautiful.
