The Editorial Staff of the Communist International / Internacional Comunista newspaper with deep sorrow condolences the comrades of the Construction Committee of the Maoist Communist Party of Galicia, the proletariat in Galicia and the Galician people, as well as the comrades of Dazibao Rojo for the loss of our beloved comrade Martín Naya, which occurred on September 3rd of this year.
On 15 July, the flag of US imperialism was removed from the US embassy building in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, as Afghan National Resistance forces, led mainly by the Taliban, took control of the city. The expulsion of the invading troops and their bureaucratic machinery from the country's capital comes almost 20 years after imperialism invaded and overthrew the Taliban government. The crushing US defeat, humiliating because of the disparity of the opposing forces, represents one of the major defeats of imperialism in the 21st century, and proof that its historic collapse is, despite its weapons, inevitable.
The victory of the front of resistance led by the Taliban over Yankee imperialism and its allies is a victory of the Afghan nationi in formation for the (formal) independence of the country, an important victory since the Yankees, since the bankruptcy of revisionism, as the only hegemonic imperialist superpower and self-appointed counter-revolutionary world gendarme, have repeatedly negated the right of nations to self-determination. The Afghan people have now won this at gunpoint. This victory gives courage and confidence to all freedom-loving people, everywhere. It is a victory that we celebrate with all progressive and revolutionary forces in the world and especially in Afghanistan.
The struggle and line of the PKP under the leadership of Gonzalo emerged at a time when revolutionary struggles around the world were declining and the revisionist camp was increasingly integrating itself into the capitalist system. At a time when the capitalist travelers, who usurped power in China after Chairman Mao's death, betrayed the Chinese revolution and dragged China onto a social imperialist route, Chairman Mao's teachings found their spirit and essence with this exit. In other words, the belief in revolution and socialism has given hope to the oppressed and exploited masses of the world from the Andes with this move.
We publish, as a tribute to the 1st Centenary of the Communist Party of China, the document ON PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC DICTATORSHIP by Chairman Mao (30 June 1949), which he wrote in commemoration of the 28th anniversary of the Communist Party of China.
